Remarkable Coincidence For King Egbert Charity

This doesn’t happen very often – a chosen charity located just off the road that bears the name of the Lodge!

King Egbert Lodge 4288, Charity Steward (W.Bro. Jim Snape PProvJGD) and (WM Chris Woollard) delivered a cheque for £250 to the Rowan School.

The Rowan is special school in Sheffield for primary pupils, from 4 to 11 years old, experiencing complex speech and language difficulties and or autistic spectrum disorders. Many pupils have special educational requirements, the donation will be used towards the funding of the school’s new Variety minibus.

Receiving the cheque are Stuart Mackintosh, Treasurer and Emeritus Professor Barry W Hancock OBE Chair of the Friends of the Rowan School, together with the Headteacher and two pupils.

All the members of KEL wish the school all the very best in their special task. Invitations were extended to all, to come and see the “Open Dore” Exhibition at Dore Masonic Hall from 29th June.
