On Friday 23rd June Dore held an open evening which saw a packed meeting room to hear a frank talk on Freemasonry and what it means to its members and the community. The ladies of Women’s Freemasonry attended and gave a talk on their organisation. The dining hall had been used as an exhibition room and had very interesting displays of Masonic regalia and equipment. The Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master opened the exhibition. Also attending was the Deputy Provincial Grand Master and on of the Assistant Provincial Grand Masters of Yorkshire West Riding.

The event continued over the weekend with the hall being open to the public and a visit from local press. This will be followed by a talk on Tuesday 27th of June entitled ” Freemasonry and Medicine “, Wednesday 28th of June ” Freemasonry and Football ” and Thursday ” Freemasonry and Scouting “

It is hoped that all of this will further our intentions to create more public awareness of Freemasonry and its place in the Community.
