Buxton Lodge

No: 1688

Who are we?

Buxton Lodge was consecrated in 1877 to meet the needs of Manchester businessmen to enjoy the beneficial environment of a Roman Spa town. At this time the Railway reached Buxton from Manchester to within 500 yards of the Palace Hotel. It was there that the Lodge was Consecrated and continued meeting there until after the second world war before it moved to its current location.

What we do

At Buxton Lodge we emphasise on the core values of Freemasonry; that of Integrity, Friendship, Respect and Charity. We meet regularly as an expanding group of likeminded people in order to further our masonic experience and raise funds for the many local charities and worthy causes as well as contributing to wider national Masonic appeals.

Why join us?

The manner in which we conduct our meetings is an important factor in demonstrating the high moral values associated with Freemasonry. While we pride ourselves in the delivery of our ritual, and conduct our meeting to a high standard, we look forward to the social gathering in order to enjoy good food, good wine, and good company, but most importantly… to have fun.
