Sure and Stedfast Lodge

No: 9130

Who are we?

Sure & Stedfast Lodge 9130 was founded in 1984. Interest in forming a Boys’ Brigade Lodge in Sheffield was kindled by a visit from the Earl of Elgin and Kincardine in 1982, who was the President of The Boys’ Brigade at that time. The name Sure and Stedfast, the motto of The Boys’ Brigade, stems from the verse “Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul both sure and Stedfast …” (Hebrews 6:19). The Boys’ Brigade is an international youth organisation originally conceived to combine drill and fun activities with Christian values.

What we do

Family and BB values are among our founding principles making Sure & Stedfast a truly family Lodge. The social side is important to us, getting to know each other better and strengthen the bond of members. Social events have raised thousands of pounds over the years, enabling us to donate monies to many local charities.

Why join us?

We are a welcoming, family orientated Lodge. Our membership covers a broad spectrum of interests, ages and backgrounds and is especially suitable for those involved with youth organisations. We still have close ties to The Boys’ Brigade and continue to provide charitable donations and support
