Glossopdale Lodge

No: 625

Who are we?

Freemasonry in Glossop developed in the 19th century alongside the wool and cotton mills and generation of the new town with new rail and road systems. Glossopdale freemasons established the fourth oldest surviving Lodge in Derbyshire, which has successfully reinvented itself recently though the first amalgamation in Derbyshire. Our current membership ranges across all walks of life and profession.

What we do

Freemasonry helps members become better citizens & live life to a high moral code. Inside the Lodge we have a mentoring program which will guide you through learning, understanding and performing ritual. Outside the Lodge we raise money for local charities through our active social calendar. We have supported a large number of local charities and good causes over the years, around 30 in the past ten years. These cover mental and physical health, community sports, youth development, respite, housing, food, rescue services, community buildings and amenities.

Why join us?

If you enjoy life, like to help others and are looking for brotherhood to develop and enrich your wellbeing, Glossopdale Lodge is the place for you. With our family and friends, we are a force for good, in the community, for the community.
